Todays question to start the journal club, “What’s your favorite TV show?” I was like……I don’t really watch TV, so I jsut said the news. After Iowa said he liked South Park, I then recalled I enjoy watching South Park also (when I was youger though). Many of the TV shows the other people likes, I never heard of them before. I think I need to watch more TV, or I will never know what people are talking about!
We had to turn in our IDEAS!! I had many ideas, but some I didn’t know how some of it can be done. I had many mroe ideas, but then it started to overlap, like my new ideas included the old ones.
We had a review of all the stuff we learned. When I saw how the first thing we learned, GPCR binding to ligand, connected to the last, Rac, Rho, Cdc42, I was surprised that we learned all of that. We did learn a lot of stuff on cell movement in that boot camp. I hope it was enough knowledge to help us create a superior project.
We got our IDs today. Now we don’t need to check in every single day!!
The lecture was short today, so we had A LOT of time to purrify our plasmids from mini preps. We finished by like 130 so we went off to lunch. After coming back at 230, we had nothing to do, so I sat until 500. I tried to think of more ideas, and I did come up with like 2-3. At 500 we did digests and then we all went home!
